"Beautiful...I just WANT you to know....that COLOR is back! "
The
bright colors of summer are now the hottest trend in eye makeup. Juicy
color combinations like marine blue, sea foam green, tangerine and lime
actually
go on your eyes at the same time to create a look that is stunning, fun
and not for the faint of heart. Rihanna is always on the cutting edge
of these
hot new shades and she models how to combine and blend bold colors like
no other.
The great thing about these colors is that they aren't as skin tone specific
as traditional eye makeup. Frosted white and electric bubble gum pink look
great on any skin tone - although darker tones do have an advantage.
And they don't
have to be show stopping in a rainbow of color on each eye. For a soft, romantic
look, apply frosted white just under your brow bone, smooth a light sweep of
vintage gold in the crease and just below the white. Top the gold with bubble
gum pink. Add pink cream blush to the apples of your cheeks and pink gloss
for a look that will make him melt on sight.
If you're not afraid of wow colors, go for the rainbow effect. Start with gold,
pink or white at the brow, sweep tangerine in the crease and finish with cobalt
or violet on your lid. These colors require a healthy coat of black eye liner
and mascara as well. Rim both the upper and lower lash line in as wide a swath
as you'd like - you rarely overdo it when using these color combinations.
When you go for bright, bold eye colors, choose more subtle shades for your
cheeks and lips. Pale pinks, nudes and tones close to your natural coloring
work best
and keep you from looking like a circus performer. You certainly don't want
to take your eyes from fashionable to funny looking!
Happy COLORing! ;-)
